“ I have not been on site to Meches. But, I have ordered King Cakes two years in a row. Their cakes are exceptional. Bavarian creme has been my choice. I shared a piece with a friend who makes gourmet cookies that she sells. Her response, " this is the best cake I have ever eaten". So I cannot say enough how good those cakes are. Not so good for the hips. The only downside is the shipping. It costs more to ship than the cake. But they are excellent and survive shipping well. Can't wait till next year!! ”

“ Meche's has some amazing donuts. I thought KK was beat until I had these original glaze donuts that melted in my mouth! My mouth instantly watered from the smell of the donuts. The staff member we interacted with kept getting our order wrong but we eventually got what we needed. I strongly advise you to go early so you can get all the goodies that they offer. We wanted a boudin kolache but they were all sold out of them all. I can't wait to return to Meche's the next time I'm in the area! ”

“ Incredible, amazing, life-changing and spectacular are all words I would use to describe this place. I drive over an hour to get here twice a year to get king cakes from them. They're my favorite king cakes in the whole state of Louisiana! I love how they're deep fried with great texture and the icing is perfect! My favorite is the chocolate filled king cake! Their donuts are also so good! Always hot and fresh and they melt in your mouth! The service is fantastic and they are so kind and nice! They have a large selection of donuts and kolaches and more! I highly recommend! ”
